Seana Kelly is the author of Welcome Home, Katie Gallagher and the newly released The Slaughtered Lamb Bar and Bookstore (Book 1 of the Sam Quinn urban fantasy series), which earned a starred review from Publisher’s Weekly, who called it “a master class in storytelling and survival.”
Seana lives in the San Francisco Bay Area with her husband, two daughters, two dogs, and one fish. When she’s not dodging her family, hiding in the garage and trying to write, she’s working as a high school teacher-librarian. She’s an avid reader and re-reader who misses her favorite characters when it’s been too long between visits.
A two-time Golden Heart Award finalist, Seana is represented by the delightful and effervescent Sarah E. Younger of the Nancy Yost Literary Agency.

Seana Kelly’s publishing career was off to a great start when she signed to a major house with her award-winning contemporary romance, Welcome Home, Katie Gallagher. But before her second book could be released, the line folded, making Seana a publishing orphan.
Three years later, she’s back with The Slaughtered Lamb Bookstore and Bar, the first book in the Sam Quinn urban fantasy series–this time, self-published via her literary agent’s in-house company. Released on October 13, The Slaughtered Lamb earned a starred review from Publisher’s Weekly, who called it “a master class in storytelling and survival.”
Join Seana as she discusses the highs and lows of her journey, what kept her going, and the differences she’s experienced between traditional and self-publishing. Seana is also generously giving away 2 copies of The Slaughtered Lamb Bookstore and Bar, with the winners drawn at the end of her session.
